Proposals are invited at 2012 AIKCU Technology Conference which will be organized on Friday, June 8. This year’s conference will be hosted by Spalding University in Louisville.
The conference will include presentations, roundtables and networking opportunities. Different Conference tracks will address instructional technology, information technology and library topics. These conference sessions will be of duration 50 minutes each.
Different topics range from:
- Specific technologies
- Emerging technologies
- Experiences in the implementation and use of technology
- Technology management
- Instructional use of technology
- Library systems/processes
- Technology policy
Faculty and staff from all AIKCU campuses are encouraged to submit proposals. Sessions which reflect collaboration among IT staff, library staff and faculty are invited. Campus members are free to collabrate with an AIKCU business partner for any type session but the proposal should be submitted by the campus and at least one presenter should be a campus faculty or staff individual. Proposed presentation sessions can have multiple formats: single presenter, panel discussion, facilitated roundtable, etc.
Proposals should take the following format:
Presenter(s)/Facilitator(s) information – Name(s), institution(s), email address for each presenter/facilitator, phone number for the lead presenter
Session Title:
- Session Objective – A sentence or two as to session purpose, its audience, and its value to the intended audience
- Session Format – Single presenter, panel, facilitated roundtable
- Description – A one to two paragraph description of the session and its approach
- Session Facility Needs – Projector, internet access, room setup, etc.
The deadline for submission of proposals is March 1.
