Call for papers are invited on the topic “Organic electronics – new physical chemistry insight”. This issue will find its place in Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics (PCCP) publication, 2012. Moreover, these papers will receive significant exposure as well as promotion.
PCCP is a community spanning, high-impact, international journal publishing work of the premium quality in the extensive fields of chemical physics, physical chemistry and biophysical chemistry. Organic electronics has enticed the attention of the entire world due to the great promise of organic electronic devices for practical applications, from organic light-emitting diodes to organic solar cells and field-effect transistors as well as other innovative relevant fields.
Key challenges in this field include the low stability of organic devices, low mobility of organic semiconductors, the role of interfaces and device physics and others as well. This also includes a lack of understanding of the structure, property relationships of organic semiconductors which still hamper their rational design.
This themed issue will highlight the tremendous progress that has been made in this field and will also help augment innovative ideas for future advances in solving the physical chemistry challenges of organic electronics.
Distinguished Guest Editors will include:
- Prof. Wenping Hu (Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences)
- Prof. Henning Sirringhaus (Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge University)
- Prof. Yutai Tao (Academia Sinica, Taiwan)
Deadline for Submissions: 14th May, 2012
