Call for Applications invited from ICAP Summer School 2012 on “Emissions Trading for Emerging Economies and Developing Countries” in Dublin, Ireland. The International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP) will organize a Summer School from 9 to 20 July 2012.
The ICAP Summer Schools was successfully organized in previous years in Berlin, Hague as well as Madrid. The course is designed for 25 to 30 vigilantly selected policy makers and other stakeholders from the academic, non-governmental and private sectors. This will express an in-depth understanding of emissions trading as an instrument to alleviate greenhouse gases, and build capacity on the technical design and implementation of carbon trading systems.
Participants will have several networking opportunities with each other and with the teaching faculty, comprises representatives from ICAP members and other renowned experts in the field. Alumni work will help promote active virtual discussions among participants beyond the duration of the course. Participation in the ICAP Summer School 2012 is open to applicants from emerging economies as well as developing countries from around the world. The course will be conducted in English. Applications are to be submitted in English.
