Call for Joint proposals (2012) is invited for Programme of Cooperation in the areas of Science and Technology for the years 2012-14. This Call for Joint proposals (2012) is announced by Department of science & technology (DST), Government of India, Ministry of Science and Technology of the Kingdom of Thailand Bilateral Scientific and Technological Cooperation between The Republic of India and The Kingdom of Thailand.
This Call for Joint proposals (2012) is invited for Indian and Thai universities, research centers and institutes to submit joint proposals for scientific and technological research and development projects.
Priority Research Areas includes:
- Electronics and Computer Technology including ICT
- Agricultural Science
- Natural Resource Management
- Biotechnology including infectious diseases
- Space Science including Geospatial Application
- Metrology
- Marine Sciences
- Science Communication
- Science Technology and Innovation Policy
- Astronomy
The proposals should involve one or preferably more research entities from both sides. The joint application must include one Indian as well as one Thai Principal Investigators, who would be responsible for technical as well as administrative co-ordination of the project and its periodic scientific and financial reporting to the DST/ Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology respectively. The duration of the projects should be of two years which could be extended by one year, on the basis of progress assessment, after mutual agreement of both Coordinating Ministries.
Project team members are given financial support for the approved projects offered for exchange visits. Two visits around 4 person months every year from each side may be supported.
The deadline for the submission of proposals is May 15, 2012.
