Background of the organization: Krushna Seva Samithi (K.S.S) is social service
Non –profitable, non-religious, non-political voluntary organization. Has been working since 1998 and registered in 2001, under the provisions of societies registration act XXI of 1860 with registered number – 239/2001.The organization was formed with the co-operation of dedicated social workers and enthusiastic service minded young group with a view to help the needy rural and urban poor community and restitutes through various developmental activities. The birth of KSS is a response indeed an emotional response to the problems of illiteracy, ignorance, ill – health, malnutrition, environmental, human rights, unemployment and inadequate medical and educational facilities that were widely prevalent in backward areas of the society. The organization is formed with no profit motive and dedicated to solve the identified problems, through the all the means and ways possible for their sustainable development. It is involving the local people in the aspects of planning and implementation of all programmes to change their quality of life .Since its inception, this organization has been rendering remarkable services for the rural & urban poor communities.
It is a well known fact that illiteracy and ignorance are the main causes for the backwardness of any community,. Therefore eradication of illiteracy and creating awareness among the people about thieir role and utilization of welfare measures taken up by the Government and Non-Governmental agencies are very essential for the development of individuals and the society as a whole. Therefore KSS in pursuance of its objectives it has taken up programme for eradication of illiteracy, elevation of poverty and good health facilities to the needy . The following were some programmes implemented by KSS in the Krishna District., The following are the aims and objectives of our organixation:

• To establish Adult schools in order to promote educational opportunities.
• To organize programmes for women development,
• To organize pre-school &primary school education for downtrodden communities.
• To take up income generating activities.
• To form and stabilization of SHSs and Women groups.
• To work on disable peoples issues.
• To take up the child labor eradication programmes.,
• To organize health educational camps and providing medical facitlities.
• To organize environmental programmes.
• To conduct legal education awareness programmes in order to protect human rights.

9. Shramadhan programmes Self finance Laid and repaired local Roads in Rail Peta. English palem slums of Machilipatnam. Road facilities were provided to concern slums
10 Vitamin ‘A’Capsules distribution Capsules donated by “SIGHT & LIFE” Foundation. 10,000 Vitamin “A” Capsules were distributed to poor children of Machilipatnam and Pedana Mandals. Reduced the Vitamin”A” deficiency in poor children.
