The Kovadloff Fellowship in Latin American Affairs is a one-year paid position designed to develop future leaders in the areas of international and domestic politics, diplomacy and public relations with a special interest in Latino and Latin American affairs. Kovadloff Fellowship will initiate on August 13th, 2012.

AJC is the preeminent leader in the global arena among Jewish organizations. With a presence in Belgium, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy and Switzerland, AJC’s network of relationships with, and access to, key decision makers and thought leaders on every continent is unmatched.
The fellow will receive high-level mentorship from senior AJC staff and work closely with them to build new and improve relations between the U.S., Latin America and Israel; express solidarity with Jewish communities in Latin America; promote democracy, human rights, and stability throughout the Hemisphere and establish coalitions with Latino communities in the United States. Fellows must be energized to engage the world through a Jewish lens, have a passion for making a difference, and an interest in exploring the venues for cooperation between Latinos and Jews and among Latin American countries and their Jewish communities. Spanish language skills are required.
The Latino and Latin American Institute is an AJC initiative to further American Jewish relations with the Latino community in the U.S. and governments and Jewish communities across Latin America. The Institute works with AJC partners in the region to strengthen Jewish life, deter terrorism, ensure that democracy and pluralism remain strong, and advance relations between Latin American countries and the U.S. and Israel.
