National Intelligence Fellowship was incorporated by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in 1999 for members of the intelligence community.
This fellowship offers an opportunity for eminent professional on the cusp of a senior position to expand his or her knowledge of international relations through a program of individual study, research and reflection along with extensive participation in CFR’s active program of meetings and events and interaction with the CFR’s diverse membership.
Each year, candidates from the intelligence community are nominated by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and interviewed by CFR. A list of former National Intelligence Fellows can be found online by visiting Historical Roster of CFR’s National Intelligence Fellows.
