The European Commission (EU) has a long-lasting relationship and cooperation with non- governmental and other civil society organizations as well as with local and decentralized authorities in the field of development. The global objective of this Programme is promotion of an inclusive and empowered society in partner countries in order to facilitate non-state actor participation in poverty reduction and sustainable development.
It is an “actor-oriented” programme aimed at strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations and local communities through support to their “own initiatives”.
The specific objectives of this Call for proposal are:
- To support Non State Actors in their actions towards poverty reduction and promoting sustainable social and
- Economic development in rural areas of Kyrgyzstan, based on initiatives of local communities,
- ·To reinforce their development capacities and facilitate their participation in poverty reduction
Under this Call for proposals priorities will be given to:
- Actions improving quality and standard of living of rural population, addressing their basic needs and access to social services;
- ·Actions increasing income generating opportunities through stimulation of local rural initiatives and activities.
The proposed action must address at least one of the above-mentioned priorities and have to include an element of capacity building for local NSA, especially for rural community based organizations. Particular attention will be paid to actions providing innovative approaches or delivery methods in difficult or out-of reach environments.
