I also worked in a legal clinic and gave training to women on how to prepare legal documents such as IDs and writing contracts.

Cairo, Egypt Programme Coordinator Organizing workshops and conferences, preparing campaigns, trainer and field research with street and labor children. I also worked on reforming one article in the Egyptian Constitution to give the Egyptian child from foreign father and Egyptian woman the Egyptian citizenship. I used to work in workshops with lawyers from different NGOs to prepare a proposal for the Egyptian parliament to change that article. I was responsible for starting a media campaign to pressure the Egyptian government to change the law. As a lawyer I could take several cases to the high constitutional court. We could succeed to change that article.

I worked with laborers who were forced to leave their housing units after early or forced retirement, represented them in courts, and contacted local authorities and parliament members. EL Geel centre, I worked as a volunteer in a project protecting and assisting street children. We hosted the street children every week-end from 8 am till almost 9 pm, and prepared classes for them to learn reading and writing, math and theatre.

Al-Gafra Troup for Palestinian Folklore I worked as volunteer, trainer and promoter fort he “Al- Gafra” group and helped in organizing workshops actors´ training and in preparing theatre and other cultural activities.

The Association of the Blind of the Future I worked as a volunteer in an Egyptian NGO that provides services for the blind, especially in poor urban neighbourhoods in Cairo. This association was created by my father who is blind himself. I used to do voluntary work since I was small and I kept doing this all the time until I left Egypt for my post graduate studies in 2004. I used to organise the files and write reports. I also contacted local authorities, and networked with other NGOs. I contributed to the development of the „Sound Library“ project and prepared trainings and workshops for blind children
