The Future for Nature Foundation is an Earth where all wild animal and plant species can survive. This Foundation is convinced that mankind can prevent extinction of wild animal and plant species and therefore should endeavor by all means to mobilize capacity to make species protection effective.
The goal of the Future for Nature Foundation is the protection of species of wild flora and fauna and conservation of nature in general. Several eminent young conservationists are our hopes in this respect. Therefore, the organization has established the Future for Nature Award for internationally outstanding species conservation efforts. The major emphasis of the Award is young conservationists who have proven to be successful and who also have manifested the talent to mobilize others for the sake of nature conservation. In this way, Future for Nature aims to boost an innovative generation of young, international conservationists. It is these high potential individuals which can make the difference.
The Foundation protects species of wild animals and plants. The prize rewards as well as funds individuals for their internationally outstanding species protection efforts. The Future for Nature Awards is awarded annually during the Future for Nature Conference at Burgers’ Zoo in Arnhem, the Netherlands. A sponsor market for species protection will follow after the conference in order to create the opportunity for networking.
