American Art Awards are offered to each of the 55 categories. This awards will have a First Place, Second Place, Third Place, Fourth Place, Fifth Place and Sixth Place. There will be $ 800.00 cash prize for “best of show”, $ 500.00 cash prize “Stoney award” for most overall wins / places by one artist and $ 200.00 cash prize “masterpiece”. Previous years had several artists winning a dozen wins / places in different categories.
Winners in each category receive:
•Results distributed to over 30,000 galleries, collectors, and artists.
•The winners’ information and their art images will be up on the American Art Awards website for at least a year. Gallery judges will also be notified of winners and given their contact information should they want to exhibit their work, if artist agrees
•All entries will also be entered at no extra cost into the “Best of Show” category. This will be one piece that will be named as “Best of Show” and will have added exposure in the media and online and a CASH PRIZE of $800.00.
•$200.00 CASH PRIZE for the “MASTERPIECE” or MOST AWARDED PIECE which is the single art piece with the most wins / places. Each artist can enter any pieces in as many categories as they like. Separate fees for each entry. If there are several pieces which win / place in 3 or 4 or 5 or more categories, the tie-breaker will be decided with this tabulation system: 1st Place = 6 points, 2nd Place = 5 points, 3rd Place = 4 points, 4th Place = 3 points, 5th Place = 2 points, 6th Place = 1 point. An art piece winning three categories even as three 1st Places will lose this award to any piece that wins four catgories even if the point score is lower. BEST OF SHOW winning piece cannot win MASTERPIECE but the same artist can win both with different images.

•Promote Your Work as Award Winning: As a winner you will have the right to highlight your award at future gallery exhibitions, your website, and your printed marketing material. Award ribbons, certificates and stickers will be available for purchase for all winners in each category. Past winners of similar contests have utilized this award by creating and distributing their own press releases.
•You will find it much easier to sell your piece once it has won / placed.
There is no other place on earth where an emerging artist can get the favor of 25 prestigious art galleries at once.
