Introduction:
The Federation for Environment, Education, Development and Equal Rights. Acronym is FEEDER. FEEDER is a local, non-Governmental, non-profit making, non-political and non-secretariat organization. It was established in 2007 and registered with the Provincial Registrar Joint Stock Companies and Societies N.W.F.P Peshawar, under societies and registration act 1860, having registration number 1101./5/55/41.
Vision:
FEEDER envisions a satisfied and peaceful society where one and all have the same chance to use potentials to lead their lives properly without violating or violated the rights of one another.
Mission:
Feeder commits itself to promote sustainable development in poverty-stricken area through community participation. It endeavors to develop communities socially, physically and economically. Its mission is to protect and improve health status of target communities, empower the women, develop human resources, develop awareness among communities by adopting participatory approach according to the culture, custom and current need of existing communities.
Objectives:
The “FEEDER” is proposed to be established as a charitable/non-profit making organization and operated to promote community development, social welfare and humanitarian purposes like:-
Restoration of existing livelihood, reconstruction & rehabilitation of livelihood, improvement and promotion of local destroyed enterprise brought the peoples on normal life, development of education, protection of the basic rights of the Child.
Provision of technical Assistance / vocational trainings to marginalized communities.
To mobilize community and provide them assistance in terms of materials, money or technical assistance towards reconstruction of the damaged, destroyed or demolished schools, colleges, hospitals, Basic Health Units and other buildings of common need and use.
To widely disseminate and bring to public attention the ‘safety-first’ principles in order to avoid and minimize damage from any future natural disasters.
Provision of safe drinking water and hygiene promotion of marginalized communities
Increasing literacy rate by formal and informal ways among marginalized communities
Ensuring health status of marginalized communities
Managing local resources by active participation of local communities.
Facilitating loans/grants/matching grants for micro enterprise and entrepreneurships.
Advocating for child rights.
Advocating for gender mainstreaming in to development sectors.
Disaster preparedness and responding.
Enriching environment through plantation, improving sanitation personal and environmental.
Ensuring equal social status by organizing marginalized communities.
Improving Socio infrastructure of neglected and remote area
Working Area:
The Organization’s activities and projects can take place anywhere in Pakistan, while the Organization focal area will be Hazara Division, District Mansehra (Kaghan Valley Tehsil: Balakot and well as District: Batagram.)
