A call for proposals is initiated by the network of Franco-Philippine NGO’s from 23rd August to 26th October 2012. This Call for proposal is announced in order to select a project proposal for the benefit of an underprivileged community or social group.
After evaluating these projects, the chosen association will receive a financial grant worth 100 000 PHP from the Embassy of France in Manila.
Eligibility conditions:
· All locally recognized organizations, associated to the activities collectively implemented by the network of Franco-Philippine associations can submit an application to this call for proposal. The actual grant application should be signed by a bonafide member of the association
· Only one application is allowed per association
· The application requirements must be complete and duly accomplished.
Selection procedure:
The call for project proposal is open from 23 August to 26 October 2012. Interested groups must submit their application before 26 October 2012, strict deadline will be implemented. Grant request includes the following: application form, affidavit, and a profile, plus other supporting documents, annexes.
All the project proposals will be reviewed. Qualified project proposals will be subject to the decision of an independent jury headed by H.E. the Ambassador of France to the Philippines.
Selection criteria:
This year, the call for proposals is open: it is not restricted by sector or by theme.
The project must meet the following objectives:
· To engage to a medium or long term process for the continuation of oneoff actions focused on information
· To locally register the project to mobilize the local parties
The project must adhere, on its implementation, to its objectives, method, calendar/plan, as well as its human and financial resources.
The selection is based on the argument quality on the following criteria:
· Relevance of the project (risks and opportunities related to the project)
· Capacity of the association to carry out the project
· Innovative quality of the project
· Outcome measures on the beneficiaries and its sustainability
Information / communication
The financial involvement of the Embassy and the logo (attached) will appear on all the information and communication documents related to the project that is supported by this call for proposals.
• Project execution:
The association will receive –in one-time – the entire amount corresponding to the contribution of the Embassy of France in Manila. Upon the completion of the project, the association must submit to the Embassy a detailed report of the project (number of beneficiaries, time, strong and weak point, including a financial report.
