The British Embassy in Manila and the Cambridge offers Scholarship for Masters or one-year taught postgraduate course.
The British Government’s Chevening scholarship programme started in 1983 with the aim of becoming a prestigious programme attracting those with the greatest potential to be future leaders.
Each scholarship will cover the tuition fee and approved College fee in Cambridge, and a stipend for the duration of the course that is sufficient for a single person. The scholarship may also include other expenses such as return travel to/from the UK. Each scholarship offer will clearly state the terms.
Eligibility-
- Only citizens of the Philippines, Palau, Micronesia and the Marshall Islands are eligible for the scholarship. The award is targeted at students who meet the Chevening criteria of academic excellence, high motivation and potential leadership qualities, and who can fulfill the rigorous admission criteria of the University of Cambridge.
- Applicants are encouraged to research thoroughly the course(s) in which they are interested.
How to apply?
- Apply for admission to the University of Cambridge – full details can be found on the University’s website.
- Apply for the Chevening Cambridge Scholarship for the Philippines, Palau, Micronesia and the Marshall Islands – the application should be made via the online Chevening application.
- Only candidates who are successful in both applications may be considered for a Chevening Cambridge Scholarship for the Philippines, Palau, Micronesia and the Marshall Islands.
