The European Union invites proposals to Support for European business in the South East Asia markets–Indonesia Component to enhancing opportunities and tackling market access issues with strategic trade partners, among them ASEAN and Indonesia.
The initiative supported by this Call aims to contribute to a more coherent and effective EU strategy for supporting and attracting EU business, specifically SME’s, in and to Indonesia as a gateway to ASEAN. This would be achieved by fostering initiatives to smarter use existing resources and structures, to complement existing services, seek synergies and more impact due to scaling up and to demonstrate a specific EU added value which should be provided in a sustainable manner.
The objective of this Call for Proposals is to increase and diversify exports and investments of the European Union, in particular by SMEs, to Indonesia as a gateway to ASEAN.
Other objectives are-
- To strengthen the EU business sector in facilitating market access in Indonesia by advocating and engaging with the Indonesian Government, the Indonesian business sector and other stakeholders
- To promote Indonesia as a high-potential trade and investment market to assure that EU companies, in particular SMEs, are able to better exploit the growing opportunities in Indonesia as a gateway to ASEAN market in accordance with their corporate core values on sustainable development and corporate social responsibility.
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is EUR 4,600,000. The Contracting Authority reserves the right not to award all available funds.
Eligibility-
- be legal persons (individuals are not eligible to apply) that are established in a Member State of the European Union, officially registered as such, according to the legislation in force in their respective country for at least five years
- be legal persons which are established in an ASEAN Member States and whose main purpose is to promote European trade and/or investment to Indonesia or ASEAN, officially registered as such, according to the legislation in force in their respective country for at least five years
- be business intermediaries – promoting trade and investment and/or economic cooperation between Europe and Indonesia/ASEAN. This is limited to Chambers of Commerce, trade associations, government agencies, sector-specific trade, industrial and professional associations, agencies promoting or facilitating trade and investment, as well as sector-based organizations concerned working with SMEs
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with their partners, not acting as an intermediary for the action.
- Applicants must apply in English.
How to apply?
- Prior registration in PADOR for this Call for proposal is obligatory.
- Registration is obligatory for all applicants and their partners.
- PADOR is an on-line database in which organizations register themselves and update regularly their data, through the Europeaid website.
- Before starting the registration of applicants organization in PADOR, please read the “Quick Guide” available on the website. It explains the registration process.
- Applicant have to indicate on the paper version of the proposal the EuropeAid ID (EID). To get this identification, applicants organisation must register, save and “sign” (committing your responsibility) in PADOR obligatory data (on each screen the fields written in orange) and the related documents.
- If the organisation is in a situation where it is impossible to register in PADOR, it shall submit a justification proving that such impossibility is of a general nature and goes beyond the control of the applicant and or its partner. In this case, the applicant and/or the partners concerned shallcomplete the “PADOR off-line form”3 in annex of these Guidelines and send it by the submission deadline along with the application to the address indicated PDF. Subsequently, the registration in PADOR will be initiated by the European Commission. If, at a later stage, the organisation wishes to update itself its data, an access request will have to be sent to the PADOR helpdesk.
