Magnum Foundation has announced the availability of human rights fellowships for the 2013 NYU-MF Photography and Human Rights Program. The program will support 5 individuals to complete the 6-week summer program, Photography and Human Rights, at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (NYU), housing, travel, and living expenses.
Individuals who are seeking to deepen their documentary photography practice of human rights, who have not previously had the benefit of extensive advanced study in this field can apply for this fellowship opportunity.
The five Magnum Foundation Human Rights Fellowships are open to applicants who permanently reside outside of North America and Western Europe. Individuals who live and work in North America or Western Europe may still apply to the program, but are not eligible for these human rights fellowships. All applicants must be able to speak and write in English.
The Open Society Foundations, Nancy Stephens and Rick Rosenthal of The Rosenthal Family Foundation, Genevieve McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation, have provided generous support for the Human Rights Fellowships.
The deadline to submit applications is 17 December 2012. For more information, visit this link.
