Newcastle University is pleased to offer Undergraduate promise Scholarships 2013 for UK or EU Students in any field student wants to appear.
Newcastle University will be offering up to 20 Promise Scholarships worth up to £9,000 per year for students of high ability from low income backgrounds, who meet specific criteria. Promise Scholarships are in addition to any government grants or loans which students may receive. They do not have to be repaid.
Eligibility-
- New UK or EU undergraduate students who start a degree course in 2013 may be eligible for consideration for a Promise Scholarship.
- EU students will only be considered for the tuition fee discount element of this scholarship.

How to apply?
- Students must apply separately for a Promise Scholarship.
- The application process for 2013 is now open. It is split into the following stages-
- Stage 1 Promise Scholarship Application– to assess eligibility, and to progress to Stage 2 application. The closing date for applications is 10 May 2013.
- Stage 2 Promise Scholarship Application– students who are successful at Stage 1 will be invited to complete the second stage of the application. This will include a personal statement from the student, supported by a teacher/tutor reference.
