Applications invited for scholarship programme in micro-insurance housed within the Office International Labour Organization and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates works to promote decent work in promoting the emergence of quality insurance coverage to protect the working poor in developing countries.
Fund for Innovation in micro-insurance has four sets activities–
- It provides grants to institutions to help them develop and test new approaches to provide better products insurance for women and men in low-income countries development;
- It helps develop the pool of experts for technical assistance and stimulating the demand in this area;
- It supports research on major issues the insurance coverage of low-income households;
- It is about the information and lessons learned key stakeholders.
The scholarship will provide structural reinforcement to the organization sustained more than occasional technical assistance with the objective that it be operationally strengthened at the end of the mission of the stock.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Applicant must be Graduate in commercial
- Three to five years of professional experience in the field commercial, and two to three years of professional experience in the insurance field
- Experience in the field of computer science would be an asset
- Work experience and travel in developing countries
- French required & Good level of spoken and written English
- Interest in development economics, micro-insurance and microfinance, geopolitics, and politics
- Strong analytical and synthesis
- Creative and strength of proposal
- Interest in Innovation and development of new markets
- Curiosity unprejudiced societal cultures
- Good Relationship combining humility and diplomacy
- Pragmatism
