Convergence European Social Fund (ESF) through the Welsh Assembly Government provides funding for Taught Master’s Scholarships in all the fields of Sciences at Swansea University.
The programme aims to widen access to postgraduate study and encourage high calibre graduates to work on a range of collaborative research projects with small and medium sized organisations located in the Convergence Area of Wales. The College of Science has a number of fully-funded scholarships available for the following programmes-
- MSc Environmental Biology: Conservation and Resource Management
- MSc in Advanced Computer Science
- MSc in Advanced Computer Science with the option of a specialism in one of five different areas: Software Technology, Human Computer-Interaction, Visual Computing, and Safe & Secure Systems
- MA Human Geography
- MSc Environmental Dynamics and Climate Change
- MSc Geographic Information and Climate Change
Each scholarship covers UK/EU tuition fees and £5695 living costs (tax free).
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Scholarships are available only to new Master’s applicants who are UK/EU categorized students.
- Applicants should hold (or be expecting to achieve) a minimum of a 2.1 degree (or equivalent).
- Applicants must be resident in the Convergence Area of Wales on enrolment, throughout their studies and be permitted to work in the Convergence area of Wales upon completion of the scholarship.

How to apply?
- To apply for an Access to Masters scholarship, please download and complete the following two forms and return them to the College of Science-
- ATM Student Application
- ATM Equal Opportunities Form
- Please post both completed and signed Application and Equal Opportunities forms to the given address in website.
- Before completing ATM application form applicants are advised to download and read the terms and conditions in the Student Agreement.
