ACDI/VOCA has invited applications from qualified and deserving applicants for the job/vacancy of Chief of Party-Rwanda for an anticipated multiyear, USAID-funded Feed the Future project in Rwanda.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall program management, develop a strong, coherent technical vision and initiate innovative strategies across the program.
- Provide technical leadership on improved aggregation, post-harvest handling and storage; market linkages; trade facilitation; business-enabling environment; and other activities that promote value chain competitiveness and food security.
- Manage relationships with local organizations, private sector stakeholders and government bodies.
- Supervise program operations, technical and administrative personnel, and preparation of periodic written and oral reports to USAID and ACDI/VOCA headquarters.
- Ensure effective contract management, reporting, communications and relationship management with USAID.
Qualifications
- M.S., M.B.A., or other post-graduate degree in trade, agricultural development, institutional development or other relevant field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience, preferably in Africa.
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible supervisory work experience, preferably on large and complex USAID-funded contracts.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Fluency in English and French preferred.
