Mercy Corps has invited applications from eligible and deserving applicants for job/vacancy of Research Analyst. The location of this job will be based in Washington,DC, US. The nature of this position is full-time/regular.
Knowledge and Experience
- A or MSc in international development or other relevant social science
- At least two years of fieldwork in a developing country
- Demonstrated skills in applied research and statistical analysis
- Experience with quasi-experimental research designs, including propensity score matching
- Proficiency using SPSS, STATA, or other statistical analysis package
- Demonstrated ability to explain research findings, both visually and in writing
Success Factors:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills, including in report writing
- Good organizational skills and ability to work under time constraints
- Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and requirements
Living /Environmental Conditions:
This position will be based in Washington DC. No major travel is expected. Mercy Corps Team members represent the agency both during and outside of work hours when deployed in a field posting or on a visit/TDY to a field posting. Team members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and respect local laws, customs and MC’s policies, procedures, and values at all times and in all in-country venues.
