Applications are invited by WWF-India from qualified and deserving candidates for the job/vacancy of Senior Programme Officer – High Altitude Wetlands. Locations of this job will be based in WWF-India Secretariat, New Delhi, India. Please note that this vacancy is open to Indian Nationals only. S/he will be responsible for providing technical support, help in developing projects, fundraising, among others.
Required Candidate Profile:
A. Educational Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources Management or related fields
B. Experience:
- 3 – 4years of work experience preferably with an NGO or development agency
C. Special Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience in project management with the ability to deliver results under tight deadlines and challenging circumstances
- Ability to work with a team and multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of issues and policies that have a bearing on conservation, environment and development
- Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills
Specific Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Assist in project management including formulating work plans, reporting, monitoring, financial management and delivery of agreed targets, as well as provide technical support to the High Altitude Wetlands team for different project components.
- Facilitate implementation of project activities, monitoring and evaluation to demonstrate impact of the programme.
- Liaise and manage partnerships with a range of project partners and networks including civil society organizations, government agencies, corporate sector, etc.
- Carry out analysis of relevant policy issues and legal interventions.
- Assist in proposal development and fund raising for the programme.
