World Vision International(WVI) is seeking applications from qualified and deserving candidates for the job/vacancy of Project Manager, Savings Group Development . The location of this job will be based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Please note that this position is on contractual basis for a period of 2 years.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Required:
- Masters Degree in Economics or Business.
- Fluency in English with excellent communication and writing skills is required. French fluency is preferred because of the work in francophone countries.
- Experience setting up, facilitating, and graduating at least 20 savings groups.
- Experience managing a country-level savings group programme.
- Minimum of 5 years in a developing country in field-based positions overseeing programme/project design, implementation and evaluation in the field of economic development alongside other sectors.
- Experience with diverse cultures and contexts, preferably involving economic development work in a developing country.
- Must have demonstrated ability to lead change, facilitate networks and build consensus with people from different cultures, nationalities, and languages.
- Able and willing to travel, both domestically and internationally 50% of time.
- Experience and proficiency in Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience and proficiency in statistical analysis and interpretation of results.
Preferred:
- Clear understanding of economic development issues their relationship to food and livelihood security and their contribution child well-being.
- Some knowledge management experience as part of or leading the sharing of information experience and knowledge.
- Excellent strategic planning and project management skills.
- Bilingual-French.
- Evidence of publication of research results
