World Vision International (WVI) announces the vacancy of WASH Knowledge Management Coordinator and seeks applications from suitable and qualified applicants . The location of this job is either Federal Way, WA or 2) Washington, DC.Please note that this is a regular full-time family post.
Purpose of Position
To implement World Vision’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) strategy, improve our WASH programming and achieve the well-being of children it is necessary to build a small cadre of high level WASH leadership at the Global Centre. This central team is part of the Global Health and WASH team under the Partnership Leader for Global Health and WASH.
Establishment of information monitoring, organization and dissemination is critical to the success of the Global Health and WASH team. This team must develop their capacity as the information hub for the World Vision WASH Community of Practice (CoP). The management of information is mandatory for both building internal WASH capacity as well as strategic representational purpose. The KM coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing systems to collect and prioritize information, storing it in appropriate databases, ensuring its accessibility and promotion. As a result of this work the WASH COP and stakeholders should be well informed and networked. The KM Coordinator is responsible for developing, building and maintaining the WASH COP, profiling the WV WASH staff, and organizing publications and external presentations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, International Development, Communications or other related field. (Masters Preferred)
- Archive development and management skills and experience
- Excellent document editing and formatting skills
- Facilitation skills
- Analysis and writing skills; publishing
- Networking skills
- Demonstrates drive and initiative towards position goals.
Preferred
- Knowledge of Water Sanitation and Hygiene development programming
- SharePoint Administration
