Participants are invited to apply for Development Photography Program(Workshop), it offers a unique opportunity for applicant to learn how photography can be used as a tool for powerful communication, fund-raising, advocacy and creating awareness in the development sector. Participants will also acquire a basic knowledge of the photography concepts such as ISO, shutter speed and aperture, as well as key camera features such as shooting modes and White Balance settings so that participants familiarize themselves with the camera as a tool to create pictures. The workshop will also equip participants with the knowledge of photo-editing, design elements and composition techniques in order for them to create great photographs that add value to their publications.
Participants will learn-
- Introduction to Development Photography
- Basics of photography
- Getting to know camera
- Developing your “eye” to see better photo
- Applying technical and composition techniques for common photo applications
- introduction to photography post-production
Eligibility & Criteria-
This workshop is specially designed for the interests of development sector. Participants from NGOs, consisting of staff at all levels whose work requires dealing with images are welcome to attend the workshop. It is also beneficial for project managers to refine the final presentations of their work and train the staff in their respective organizations.
