Applications are invited for International Clore Leadership Programme funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Home Affairs Bureau of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, through the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. The fellowship offers a budget of up to £14,000 to cover the costs relating to their programme including two return journeys to the UK from their home base, course and conference fees, travel, accommodation, subsistence, training and development.
The International Fellows will join the group of Clore Fellows for the two residential leadership courses and will follow a development programme, which will normally include a secondment of around 8 weeks with a cultural organisation, training at business schools and attendance at conferences in the UK.
Eligibility–
- In 2013/14 the Foreign and Commonwealth Office will fund up to 4 Chevening Scholarships on the Clore Leadership Programme. Candidates for the scholarships have to be NOMINATED by the British Embassy or High Commission in their country/region.
- The nominations are invited from particular areas as identified by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. In 2013/14 nominations will be invited from Brazil, China, India and Egypt.
- Candidates interested in being considered for nomination should speak in the first instance either to the Chevening/Arts Officer at the relevant British Embassy or High Commission.
- All candidates must have a strong track record in their home country. They should normally have a total of at least 5 years’ paid work experience in the arts and cultural sector, either in employment, self-employment or as a freelance. Potential International Fellows are often well known in their field and must have the potential to become senior leaders. All candidates should be able to demonstrate that they can meet the required Chevening and Clore Leadership Programme eligibility criteria.
