Applications are invited for impact evaluation of the Aadhaar programme which is being implemented by the Unique Identification Authority of India. The purpose of this programme is to increase financial inclusion.
In India only 40 percent of the population has access to basic bank services. According to estimates, Aadhaar has the potential for large direct and indirect benefits. These include the potential to reduce the cost of delivery of payments, a more than 20 percent increase in the utilization of government services, large direct monetary benefits from electronic payments, improved delivery of government services, reduced corruption and overall much greater financial inclusion. The proposed impact evaluation will examine the potential for realizing these impacts.
Eligibility & Criteria-
