The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is pleased to invite proposals for Literacy Courseware Challenge to stimulate development of courseware supporting literacy instruction. Foundation will fund 20 to 30 awards in amounts of $25,000-$500,000.
Proposal must include:
- An Application Narrative (10 pages maximum), including a link to a 3-minute video
- Documentation of your organization’s tax status and finances
- Simple budget template
- Outcomes and milestones chart (Appendix A)
Eligibility & Criteria–
- Both taxable and tax‐exempt organizations are eligible to apply.
- Non-U.S. organizations may apply, but the primary focus of the grant-supported work must be in the United States. Individuals and single-person LLCs are not eligible.
- Organizations may submit more than one proposal.
- No member of the selection panel may submit a proposal.
- Applicants must agree to the Charitability Requirements.
