Sponsors are invited to sponsor a child for scholarship opportunity of $100/month in the Dominican Republic. Doulos Discovery School is the organizer of this program. The mission of this plan is to focus on the education of children from backward community. Scholarship students are selected through referrals from the local church community. Students and their families must meet a short list requirements in order to qualify for sponsorship-
- The family must prove financial need
- One adult family member must be actively involved in a local church
- One parent must be currently employed
- Students must pass an on-level assessment
- As part of taking ownership of their education, students and families must also maintain certain standards after acceptance.
For $100/month spncers can provide a discipleship focused, expeditionary, bilingual, college preparatory education that will equip their student to drastically change their own future and profoundly impact their community and beyond. Doulos Discovery School also have sponsorship available for $50/month. Sponsors are asked to make a 12-month commitment, which helps to cover monthly tuition. There is also the option to partner with another sponsor and share the responsibilities of student sponsorship.
