USAID/India is seeking applications for India partnership Annual Program Statement (APS). The areas which are covered under this project are health, Climate change, Food security & Early grade reading. The purpose of this opportunity is to provide a competitive opportunity for any proposed partnership that is responsive to the terms herein. The APS is issued in conjunction with a pro-active and concerted outreach effort by USAID/India to identify prospective alliance partners, especially Indian organizations and non-traditional partners.
An India Partnership is an Indian-led, public-private sector collaboration focused on overcoming critical development challenges of base-of-the-pyramid populations through innovations that can be rigorously tested, shared, and scaled, in India and abroad.
USAID/India anticipates forming up to 5 partnerships under this APS, each having ideally an overall program value of at least $2 million. It is expected that the programs supported by a proposed partnership will have a period of performance from 24 to 60 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- USAID/India seeks to expand its partnership base through partnerships with nontraditional partners such as-
- private businesses
- business and trade associations
- foundations
- financial institutions, as well as more traditional non-profit, non-governmental for-profit development firms
- all partners must be legally recognized entities organized under applicable law. Individuals are not eligible. Grant funds may be used, in part, to build the capacity of local organizations, whether they are for-profit or non-profit.
- All organizations are expected to comply with applicable local laws. For Indian organizations, it is necessary to have obtained Government of India approval prior to receiving foreign funds, in accordance with the Foreign Contribution Regulations Act, as applicable.
