Youths from Kenya are invited to apply for Innovate Kenya competition to create and implement their own solutions to pressing problems in their communities. This program will be funded by Global Minimum Inc. The goal of this competition is to expand a culture of innovation and self-efficacy that can help drive economic, social and human development in Kenya.
Each winning team will receive up to US$ 1,000 to further develop their prototype. Funds can be used towards buying materials and machining costs. The award money is not meant for personal use of team members and must be used only for the project.

Eligibility & Criteria-
- Any Senior Secondary School in Kenya can nominate teams of 3 – 5 students as finalists for the Innovate Kenya competition. Up to 8 teams will be selected by an internationally acclaimed panel of judges to receive up to US$ 500 each to “produce” a prototype of a solution to a well-defined local problem over a 2-3 month period.
