Skoll Foundation awards the Skoll Awards for Social Entrepreneurship (SASE), which support programs or social entrepreneurs working on issues such as environment sustainability, health, tolerance and human rights, institutional responsibility, economic and social equity, and peace and security. Sub-issue areas include climate change, nuclear proliferation, global pandemics, conflict in the Middle East, and water scarcity. Social entrepreneurs have to be innovators and the awards are provided as a core support to long-term development of the organization. Proposals are accepted round the year, but there are deadlines fixed every year. The deadlines for this year are 5 August 2008 and 4 November 2008. More details available are at its website.
