The society is none government and none profit organization registered (Registration No. 329 – Society’s Act. 1860 – dated May 2004) with Government of Balochistan in the name “Society for Human Assistance and Development (SHAD)”. It was founded by a group of visionary professionals from diverse professional backgrounds in 2004.

SHAD is an independent non-profit, non-government, self-serving and volunteer organization. It was established in 1995 at Quetta by a group of highly committed and volunteer activists from different development fields, but was registered with Government of Balochistan in 2004. The members form a closely knitted team, which is self-motivated and has a long history of working together with multidisciplinary work experience.
