Proposals are accepted for European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR): Country-Based Support Scheme (CBSS) in South Sudan. The purpose of this program is to strengthen the South Sudanese civil society and to enable it to actively contribute to the promotion and the protection of human rights, to the prevention of human rights abuses and to the rehabilitation of victims of such abuses.
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is EUR 1,530,000. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 12 months nor exceed 24 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be legal persons
- be non profit making
- belonging to the following category as defined per Art of the EIDHR Regulation: Civil society organisations, including non-governmental non-profit organisations and independent political foundations, community based organisations, and private sector non-profit agencies, institutions and organisations, and networks thereof at local, national, regional and international level; public sector non-profit agencies, institutions and organizations and networks at local, national, regional and international level; national parliamentary bodies
- be established in South Sudan, in a Member State of the European Union, of an accession or official candidate country, of a Member State of the European Economic Area (EEA), or established in a developing country as specified by the OECD/DAC
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
