Applications are invite for The Northwest Territories (NWT) Youth Ambassadors Program. The purpose of this program is to offer opportunity to develop significant life and job skills and build the confidence necessary to deal with the complex challenges in modern society.
Program offers-
- Opportunity to travel to volunteer at special events. Past events include: Arctic Winter Games, Canada Winter Games and the North American Indigenous Games.
- Build leadership and life skills through specialized training and volunteering
- Meet youth from across the NWT
- Represent community and the NWT
Applicants can apply for one category among 3 Categories these are as follows-
- Youth Ambassador – Volunteer
- Youth Ambassador – Volunteer Mentor
- Youth Ambassador – Volunteer Traditional Games
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Be between 16 and 24 years of age as of December 31, 2013
- Be a resident of the Northwest Territories
- Attend the mandatory orientation session from November 14-18, 2013
