The Embassy of the United States of America in Port of Spain is seeking proposals for fund creative and sustainable projects which will aid in societal and institutional growth. Awards will be granted, with a maximum amount per award of US$10,000. The goal of this program is to address the following issues-
- Creating a more open society
- Improving the rule of law
- Improving mutual understanding between the United States and Trinidad and Tobago
Thematic areas-
- Effective Air and Maritime Border Protection
- Improving Judicial, Policing and Crime Investigation Capacities
- Clean Energy Initiatives and Climate Change Awareness
- Increased understanding and Appreciation of American Culture and Policies
- Preserving cultural practices, especially for minority groups
- HIV/AIDS prevention Specifications
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Proposal must be representative of an organization, no individuals may receive grants.
- The Department encourages organizations that have not previously received international program funding from the U.S. Government to apply under this announcement.
