The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is accepting applications for USAID/Uganda Rights and Rule of Law activity for which USAID intends to provide up to $8 million, to be allocated over the five year period. The goal of this program is to improve democratic governance and accountability (with particular attention to empowering vulnerable groups) and, ultimately, lead to improved development outcomes.
Areas covered-
- Promote a foundation for the protection of human rights and equity in order to safeguard mechanisms that hold government accountable
- Foster constructive advocacy for the promotion of human rights and equal access to justice
- Advance the flow of information in order to protect and promote the rule of law and human rights
Eligibility & Criteria-
- USAID policy encourages competition in the award of Grants and Cooperative Agreements. In response to this RFA, any U.S. or non-U. S. organisations, non-profit, or for-profit entity is eligible to apply.
- USAID encourages applications from potential new partners.
