USAID/Paraguay Economic Development Program

Applications are accepted by USAID for Paraguay Economic Development Program which focuses to increase economic opportunities for vulnerable groups, encouraging a more efficient business environment and institutionalizing reform. The objective of this program is to promote more effective government institutions and greater economic inclusion of women, the disabled, and the rural poor particularly in the Northern Zone of the Country.

Eligibility & Criteria-

Applicant must–

• if a for-profit organization-

1. be organized under the laws of Paraguay
2. have its principal place of business in Paraguay
3. be majority beneficially owned by individuals who are citizens or lawful permanent residents of Paraguay

• if a not-for-profit organization-

1. be organized under the laws of Paraguay
2. have its principal place of business in Paraguay
3. be managed by a governing body, the majority of whom are citizens or lawful permanent residents of Paraguay

• Have been in operation as a local Paraguayan organization for no less than three years immediately preceding the date of application
