Applicants around the world are invited to submit applications for UJMT Fogarty Global Health Fellowship Program sponsered by Fogarty International Center and other NIH Institutes. The focus of this program is to bring together four top-ranked universities and 19 international research training sites in Africa, Asia, and South America.

Endocrinology, Epidemiology, Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Chinese traditional medicine, Maternal-child health, Mental health/Substance aboce, Nutrition, Oncology, Parasitology, Pediatrics, Primary health care, Reproductive Health, Surgery and Trauma/Burn, Cardiovascular disease, Chikungunya, Childhood asthma, Dengue, Hepatitis, HIV/STI, Hypertension, Influenza, Kidney disease, Leprosy, Malaria, Pneumococcus, Polio, Pulmonary disease, Stroke, Tuberculosis, Zoonotic diseases, Capacity building research and design, Health economics, Health & human rights, Health systems strengthening, Infectious disease modeling, Monitoring & evaluation, Smoking cessation and Vaccination roll-out strategy (rotavirus, HPV).
Eligibility & Criteria-
- U.S. Citizen, non-citizen national or permanent resident
- MD’s will have completed residency prior to the departure date for the training site
- PhD’s will have defended their dissertation prior to the departure date for the training site
- U.S. trained MD or PhD from any U.S. academic institution can work at one of the established training sites
- A two-to-three member team can apply to jointly conduct a research project. Each member of the research team must be from a different health science for instance public health, medicine, and biomedical engineering
- MD’s or PhD’s from one of the four consortia institutions may identify a training site outside of the 17 established training sites
