All eligible organizations are invited to submit Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for projects in Eritrea, South Sudan and Yemen under Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) in the Eastern Afromontane Biodiversity Hotspot.
This call for proposal is open for small grants (USD 20,000 and less) only. The purpose of this program is to support partnerships, networks, and mentoring between smaller organizations and larger organizations within the three target countries and elsewhere.
Proposals for civil society capacity needs assessments should include, at the minimum-
- A description of civil society organizations (CSOs) that can currently be found in each of these three countries – specifically in the conservation and development area
- Their current capacities
- Their capacity needs
- A CSO capacity development plan for each of these countries with clear targets related to CEPF’s larger objectives
Eligibility & Criteria-
Preference will be given to applicants from the three subject countries, followed by organizations based elsewhere but which have longstanding offices, personnel, and expertise within the countries. Applicants should clearly demonstrate their managerial history and capacity to (a) receive and account for foreign funds, and (b) operate within any of the three countries.
