The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is pleases to invite applications for Moldova Partnerships for Sustainable Civil Society project (MPSCS). The goal of this program is to to improve the capacity of civil society in Moldova to represent citizens’ interests, influence policy making and sustain the sector’s democratic role for the future. PSCS will strengthen Moldovan Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), CSO networks, and engagement between CSOs and host government to contribute to a more vibrant and effective civil society sector in Moldova.
The anticipated total federal funding amount is $6.3 million.
Objectives-
- CSOs more effectively represent their constituencies
- Institutional capacity of strategic partners developed
- Enabling environment more conducive to long-term sustainability of civil society
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Applicants who are eligible to apply are U.S. and non-U.S. non-profit or forprofit Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other qualified non-USG organizations who are able to respond to the RFA and be able to mobilize in a short period of time.
- To be eligible for award of a Cooperative Agreement, in addition to other conditions of this RFA, organizations must have a commitment to non-discrimination with respect to beneficiaries and adherence to equal opportunity employment practices. Non-discrimination includes equal treatment without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, gender, and political affiliations.
- Applicants are reminded that U.S. Executive Orders and U.S. law prohibits transactions with, and the provision of resources and support to, individuals and organizations associated with terrorism. It is the legal responsibility of the Recipient to ensure compliance with these Executive Orders and laws. This provision must be included in all sub-awards issued under this Cooperative Agreement.
