Training Course on the Management and Development of Roma Youth Organisations is being organized which aims to strengthen the capacity and sustainability of Roma youth organisations. The training course will build on the accumulated experience of the youth sector of running training courses on democratic leadership and management of youth organisations

- Social inclusion including education, housing and healthcare.
- Empowerment and better access to justice
Objectives–
- To develop participants’ understanding of the role of youth organisations in voicing the concerns and needs of Roma young people and their communities
- To develop participants’ organisational management competences (starting up Roma youth organisations, managing them, leadership, decision making, conflict management, advocacy, motivation, empowerment, strategic planning, resource management etc.)
- To develop participants’ competences in democratic leadership of youth organisations and democratic youth work practices
- To develop participants’ skills in developing projects within their organisations, based on youth participation
- To develop the participants’ ability to network with other organisations and institutions in order to develop responses to the situations affecting Roma young people at policy levels
- To associate participants to the implementation and development of the Roma Youth Action Plan
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be active in Roma communities and have some experience in working with Roma communities and/or Roma youth.
- be supported by their organisation/institutions or informal youth group for the participation in the whole course and in particular for the implementation of the learning outcomes of the course.
- be able and committed to act as multipliers and develop a sustainable process with their organisation for the benefit of Roma communities and Roma youth
- be aged 18 – 30 (exceptions are possible)
- be committed to attend for the full duration of the course
- be able to work in English
- be resident in a member state of the European Cultural Convention2 of the Council of Europe.
