Applications are accepted to partner with Turkish counterparts to promote mutually beneficial economic partnerships and linkages between Armenian and Turkish organizations and businesses that will yield tangible and sustainable results for longer-term economic development. This program is supported by United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The goal of this program is to focuses on the promotion of economic linkages and partnerships in support of addressing obstacles to such linkages.
The project will encourage the-
- involvement of women entrepreneurs and/or women-led groups in partnerships
- engagement of non-traditional partners, such as Diaspora groups and actors outside Yerevan and Istanbul/Ankara
The total anticipated funding level for this activity is $1,000,000 with the expected period of performance for awards not to exceed 24 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Potential partners include Armenian registered organizations owned and operated by Armenians, such as private businesses, business and trade organizations, think-tanks, business-oriented NGOs and private for-profit companies willing to forego profit
- Only those applications that identify agreed upon partnerships with Turkish counterpart organizations will be eligible for award
- Be organized under Armenian laws
- Have its principal place of business in the Armenia
- Be majority owned by individuals who are Armenian citizens or lawful permanent residents of the Armenia or be managed by a governing body, the majority of whom are Armenian citizens or lawful permanent residents of the Armenia
- Not be controlled by a foreign entity or by an individual or individuals who are not citizens or permanent residents of the Armenia
