Applicants from India are invited to submit applications for course on Editorial Judgment offered by Thomson Reuters Foundation. This course will be conducted in Mumbai, India from Nov. 18 – 22, 2013. The objective of this program is to enhance editorial judgment in the choice of pictures, text and other media and in newsroom management. It is designed to protect a media company brand by making logical ethical decisions on the use of media material.
Benefits–
Thomson Reuters Foundation offers bursaries for journalists from the developing world/countries in political transition working for organisations with no resources for training. Restricted bursaries are available to Indian journalists based outside Mumbai. This arrangement is subject to variation.
Eligibility & Criteria-
Applicants must be full-time journalists or regular contributors to broadcast media organisations from India. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment to a career in journalism in their country, must be a senior journalist with a minimum of three years’ professional experience. If you have been on a Thomson Reuters Foundation training programme within the last two years you will not be eligible to apply.
