Applications are accepted for East Africa’s Conflict Management Activities under Evaluating and Learning from USAID. The goal of this program is to focus on strengthening cross-border conflict management. The primary E&L focus will be on the PEACE III community peace-building program.
USAID/EA will pursue the objective of strengthening cross-border conflict management through two interconnected activities-
- Responsiveness of Regional and National Institutions to Cross-Border Conflict Improved
- Local Cross-Border Conflict Management Strengthened
PEACE III will aim to achieve four primary results-
- Communities more open to social reconciliation
- Community peace-building capacities mobilized
- Local governments partner with their cross-border counterparts and with communities in conflict management
- Capacity of Horn of Africa Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) to support local cross border conflict management increased
