Participants from around the globe are invited to take part in Global Youth Service Day (GYSD). The goal of this program is to raise awareness of organization and the important work applicants do, engage more young people in service, and recognize youth for improving their communities.
GYSD is a campaign of YSA (Youth Service America), an international leader in the youth service movement. YSA activates young people to serve, and provides youth and their adult mentors with funding, tips, tools, and training to lead high-quality, high-impact volunteer projects.
Eligibility-
Organizations that have the ability to mobilize at least 100 youth (ages 5 to 25) in youth-led community service projects and celebration events on Global Youth Service Day, April 11-13, 2014. Additional responsibilities include promoting Global Youth Service Day, engaging local media, coordinating project and celebration event and reporting the impact of your Global Youth Service Day activities.
