EcoHealth Alliance has announced EcoHealthNet training program for eligible applicants interested in multidisciplinary health and infectious disease research. This program is being supported by National Science Foundation Research Coordination Network.
EcoHealthNet offers two separate training opportunities-
- Week workshop– The theme for this workshop will be “Epidemiology and Management of Infectious Diseases in Wildlife.” The workshop will be conducted in Front Royal, Virginia, from June 15th – 21st, 2014. Topics covered under this workshop will be- epidemiology, conservation biology, wildlife ecology, and conservation medicine.
- Mentored research internship– Interns will work under the guidance of a research mentor developing a study within the scope of high-profile, well-funded U.S. and international-based research projects. Participants are expected to work with their assigned mentors to craft a project that will fit into the scope of the main program and allow the student to learn about research design, data collection, analysis and publication.
Eligibility-
U.S. and international graduate students (Masters, Doctoral, or post-doctoral level) interested in multidisciplinary health and infectious disease research are eligible to apply.
