Entries are being accepted for photojournalism competition for which the theme is “Defending and Advocating Dignity of Human Beings and Nature.” This program is being supported by Days Japan. The world-class photographers who contribute to DAYS JAPAN publication do their work at great peril, many risking their lives for their shots. Regardless of how the photos are taken, DAYS JAPAN aims to always tell the truth from the perspective of victimized civilians and not of those exercising authority through military or other power.
Awards-
The first prize winner will receive JPY1,000,000 (US$10,000) and a digital camera and lens. Two second-prize winners will receive JPY300,000 (US$3,000) and digital cameras and lenses. Other winners will receive JPY100,000 (US$1,000), a compact digital camera, a lens or RAW developing software.
Eligibility-
Any photographer may apply, regardless of age, occupation, gender or nationality.
