Deadline: 31 December 2013
Thiel Fellowship for 2014 is accepting proposals for innovative projects on how science and technology can change the world, from youth of or below 19 years of age to become a Thiel Fellow. The fellowship awarded for a time span of two years, assists the fellows with mentors to become leaders and change makers. It aims to create a radical re-thinking of what it takes to succeed and improve the world, through self-directed learning, independent thought, and meaningful contributions.
Thiel Fellowship takes the student out of school to work on her/his own project which will lead her/him to become a value creator and leader in life ahead. The fellowship encourages and makes it possible for the fellows to create a value by designing a path or project which creates opportunities for the fellow her/himself and for others in a way never done before. Establishing a non-profit organization to offer services to thousands, creating job opportunities, facilitating change in communities are some of the examples of value creation. It also creates bold leadership by which the fellows will become leading personalities in her/his field over a decade. The fellows will become industry leaders or experts in her/his field who take meaningful risks and continue to achieve more. The fellow, who becomes the member of a community of scholars and fellows sharing same types of goals and visions, will in due course build a meaningful community.
