Stars Foundation is inviting applications from Africa-Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean for ‘Impact Awards’ 2014. The main goal of the Award Program is to recognize outstanding organizations working to improve the lives of disadvantaged children in countries with the highest rates of under-five mortality.
Total 24 awards in four categories – Health, Education, Protection and WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) will be distributed to four winners per region and runners-up.
Eligibility Criteria –
- The applicant must be a locally registered non-profit-making organization – a charity, non-governmental organization, voluntary organization or similar.
- The applicant organization must directly or indirectly work with children in one or more of the areas of Health, Education, Protection or WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene).
- The applicant organization must be legally established and registered in one of the countries of Africa-Middle-East, Asia-Pacific or Latin America-Caribbean.
- The applicant organization must have its own annual independently audited annual accounts and must have an annual income in its most recent set of independently audited annual accounts between US$200,000 and US$4,000,000 (or equivalent in local currency).
- The applicant organization must have its own constitution, bank account, dedicated board of trustees/directors and must be open to staff and beneficiaries from different faiths. It must have independent decision-making power and complete autonomy over how it spends its money.
